Happy Tuesday! Great arm workout! I also added a little run and country abs! I also hopped on the scale this AM for the first time in months....a little extra motivation to stick to this challenge...UGH!

Day 2 check!! Started with an outdoor 2 mile run then arm workout! Booty is sore from yesterday! Love that.

GREAT after workout chat today. Iβm going to address some of the topics we talked about over the next few days. I was asked about breakfast ideas and snack ideas. Here are some thoughts and ideas. I hope they are helpful!
After exercise, if youβre not able to have a proper meal, aim to consume a snack with both protein and carbohydrates to capitalize on the "30 minute window of opportunity." Your muscle cells are like sponges after a workout, and will soak up nutrients to promote protein synthesis. The key is adding quick-digesting carbohydrates to your post-workout and protein to drive muscle growth.
Some of my post workout breakfasts:
-Overnight oats with PBFit, Hemp seeds, berries and a scoop of protein powder. I like a hard boiled egg on the side
-Ezekiel toast with an egg or 2-3 scrambled egg whites and avocado and 1/2 an apple or berries
- Ezekiel tortilla with chicken, sprinkle of almond cheese and avocado
Snacks:
-Sliced turkey and a hard boiled egg
-Veggies and hummus
-Low-fat cottage cheese and a handful of pretzel thins to dip
-Brown rice cake with avocado and 2 oz of chicken
-Brown rice cake with 2TBSP of PB fit and sliced apple or 1/4 sliced banana
1/2 apple and a small palm size of nuts

Loved the cardio workout today!! So great!
Day 3 done!!! About half way though I was not wanting to do any more but I DID IT ANYWAY!!! all the way to the end. Unfortunately I am unable to workout in the mornings like many of you, I am an afternoon workout gal, so my schedule is a bit different. I am finding that the journaling is working better at the end of the day. This is a great program, it can fit into anyones schedule. Love that and loving the workouts. Thanks Shana
